Control sentence-level error (grammar, punctuation, spelling).
Essay 1
Overall, I think that my sentence-level errors were minimal, but I definitely missed too many when proofreading. For next time, I need to proofread a couple more times to catch them all. There were a couple spelling errors and a couple punctuation errors. My sentence structure was good, except for one sentence that should have been two instead. I feel like my grammar was good, as I got my points across grammatically correct except for one instance, where I forgot one word, changing the entire sentence. I misspelled Asian and Feminist, which for some reason were not picked up by spell check. One error I also had was using the singular ‘woman’, instead of the plural ‘women’, which I easily could have skipped over in proofreading. I really just need to slow myself down when reading the final copy and really scan for more mistakes.
Essay 2
My local revisions for the second essay were much more minimal. I was much more effective in my proofreading and spell check. I had one local revision that was needed where I used “Although” before a sentence where it was not necessarily needed grammar wise. My essay was much stronger this time around, as afar as the local revision aspect.
Essay 3
The process of essay 3 was very helpful in order to get rid of spelling and grammar mistakes in the final project. From the dialogue, to the rough draft, into the final draft and podcast, I was really able to make proper local revisions at each step to ensure that my Dialogue and Podcast were error-free. This process and ability to revise locally proved to be very crucial to the sounding of the podcast project.
